From June 2015 the paper counterpart of your driving licence was abolished and is no longer accepted when hiring a vehicle.
We now need customers to go to the following DVLA link :
Once you are on the DVLA website you will be able to follow the on screen instructions to access your details. Once you have accessed your details you can then follow the link "share licence information". This will then allow you to create a unique code that you can pass on to us. This code together with the last eight digits of your licence number will allow us to access your licence details. The code you generate lasts for 21 days.
Drivers must be over 21 and under 70 (71 - 73 usually accepted but please check first) and must have held a full diving licence for at least 12 months with the exception of drivers of 21 to 25 who must have held a driving licence for at least 24 months. Two minor convicitions are fine. (Fixed penalty and three ponits each)
If you happen to be outside these criteria please contact us prior to booking. Most convictions can be cleared with our insurers but we do need to do this in advance of your hire.

What identification do I need?
Hirers are required to supply additional identification when hiring a vehicle. As a minimum we will require 2 additional forms, made up of address identity and personal identity. Acceptable forms would be utility bills (no more than 3 months old), credit card statement, council tax bill etc.
European travel is available on all our vehicles. A setup fee of £30 plus £15 per day will give you full European cover and we will provide any equipment needed to travel in required countries. When hiring 17 seaters a Tachograph card must be used and needs to be ordered from the DVLA, can take up to 3 weeks to arrive.
What happens with the Dartford Crossing Charge?
All of our vehicles are registered with the Dartford crossing. We will receive confirmation informing us one of our vehicles has used the crossing and charge your hire accordingly. If you have already paid the crossing it is down to you to chase the refund with the Dartford crossing company.
Can I tow?
Yes you can, however, additional charges apply and consent must be obtained prior to hiring the vehicle. The maximum weight is subject to the specifications of the vehicle supplied, not all vehicles are designed to tow. Any trailer in excess of 750kgs must be braked. Whatever is being towed is not covered under our insurance. If damage is done to the vehicle as a result of what is being towed, this is also not covered.
If I have an accident that is not my fault, will I get my excess back?
In most cases you will, however, a disputed claim can take a considerable amount of time to resolve. In some instances if we are unable to claim for the damage and any additional losses, for example the other party gave false details, drove away from the accident or are uninsured, then you will lose your deposit and may have to pay the full value of the agreed insurance excess.
What is CDW?
Collision Damage Waiver reduces the excess payable by the hirer in the event that the hired vehicle has been involved in a collision. Typically this will reduce the excess from £1,000 down to £100 - £250, depending on endorsements, driving experience, type of vehicle being hired. The hirer is responsible for the excess if:

What is windscreen damage cover?
As the hirer of a vehicle you are responsible for any damage caused to the windscreen while the vehicle is in your possession. Windscreens can easily be damaged. By taking out Windscreen cover, you can cover the costs of any damage caused whilst out on hire.
Loading the vehicle?
The hirer is responsible for not exceeding the gross vehicle weight (GVW) of the vehicle.
Can I have additional drivers?
You can have up to 2 additional drivers, all drivers will be required to show their driving licences and a charge will apply for each additional driver.
Can I extend the rental?
The facility is available providing we are informed prior to the expiry of the agreed rental period (as shown on the rental agreement) and the required additional payment is made so that the insurance cover may be extended.
Returning vehicles out of hours?
When returning a vehicle out of hours, the vehicle is under the responsibility of the hirer until checked over by a member of staff at the following opening hours of the business.
Cancellation policy: over 7 days notice 50% of the hire cost will be non refundable. Cancellation within 7 days will result in the full cost of the hire being lost. Additional handling charges may apply. Any false information found to be used will result in the loss of the hire and no refund shall be given.
Terms and Conditions
Full terms and conditions are printed on the reverse side of each rental agreement. All hirers are asked to read these carefully. The rental period runs in 24 hour periods unless otherwise agreed. Vehicles can be dropped off out of hours. A Credit or Debit card is taken at the time of booking to hold the reservation. Deposit for the hire is made when collecting the vehicle and this can be by any credit or debit card in the name of the driver. Penalty Charge Notices (Congestion charge / Dart charge / Parking tickets etc) There is a charge of £20.00 to cover our administration costs and also the cost of sending relevant paperwork back in to the respective authority by recorded post. As a member of the British Vehicle Renting and Leasing Association, you also have the backup that our vehicles are quality checked on a daily basis, and cleaned prior to your rental.
